174 has so many B9TL Wrights but is still not a full double decker fleet.

Giving 43 a DD is a blatant waste of resources unless they have too many DDs to go around.

Frankly, 151 doesn't need the DDs. Despite the number of people of taking 151, it still does not see the kind of demand 74 and 147 sees. Even peak hours can be coped especially since 151's frequency has improved currently.

But hey, I shouldn't be protesting since I know that a B9TL leaves Kent Ridge every weekday afternoon at around 1535 (a very weirdass timing since unless a student RUNS form FASS to Central Library stop at end of lesson at 1535, he/she won't be able to make it), and its ALWAYS half-empty.

I get to kiao-kar, put my barang barang on the adjacent seat, sigh a contented sigh, and say: THIS IS LIFE.

btw notice 151 DDs always running on other svcs namely 7, 196 kinda weird when pple have to squeeze like sardines on 74, 74e...
totally illogical for so many SDs for sv74
i have to admit even the extra 5 WEGs from BBDEP on sv14 is a waste where it can be better deployed to replace the BB SDs for sv74...

74 probably reigns as the most unglam service relative to load ever.

Last cross-country PAC service (but much better frequency and full DD fleet), old ADD fleet, a hodge-podge of ageing SDs that can barely cope with the loads.

Even 151 has moved on from its PAC days and graduated to WAB and DD fleet.

Did 74 pax offend SBST?

It really did have a sign indicating a height restriction of 4.3 metres.

guess SBST have too much DDs' right now....that why more services are getting DDs..... seem like the citaros number have stopped at 150 for the time being and Wrights are been registered to replace the SDs instead....

maybe the sign is misleading. haha.. if look at onemotoring website, most of the overhead bridge/flyover are more than 5.0m (instead of 4.5m as stated on the sign)....

DDs are 1st time deployed on sv43 but it is a waste as there is duplication after YCK Rd when sv76 is in...
The reason sv43 was thrown in is due to its weird frequency of smetimes mre than 15mins esp on weekends/PHs but DDs on 43 is a waste of resources...

Not only 43 duplicates 76 (except the Serangoon MRT part), it also duplicates 70 from YCK Road to Paya Lebar MRT too.

It also duplicates 22, 53 between Serangoon to Serangoon, 147 between Serangoon North to Serangoon North, 156 from Serangoon North to Sengkang, 161 from IMH to Sengkang, 15 from Marine Parade to Marine Parade, 80 from Paya Lebar to Serangoon....*becomes breathless*

43 also used to duplicate 48 from UEC to Tg Katong Rd. But it comes to more sense ever since 48 got extended to BNDEP.

The good thing about service 43 along Buangkok Green is that it serves as a direct link for residents to Buangkok MRT. Other services (109, 156, 159, 161) doesn't even go to Buangkok MRT at all.

From Upper East Coast Rd, it duplicates with 48 towards Parkway Parade, then 76/135 to Paya Lebar MRT, then 70/76 to Upp Paya Lebar Rd, 70/103 to YCK Rd.
