Think it has something to do with the 1st gear ratio and the rpm
at which it changes to second gear. I'm not too technical about
this, as I haven't actually seen where the rpm falls and picks
up on the tachometer when it changes gears, but if you can
hear the turbo boost sound of the Voith B9TLs on both CDGEs &
Wrights, the CDGEs' 1st gear is able to get a slightly larger
amount of boost kicking in before it cuts off to switch to 2nd
gear, when compared to the Wrights.
not just that. i tink adblue is another reason why.
that's why i prefer cdge more than to wrights
