the rest of the routes too long to loop

these days so many weird SMRT routes 850E, 971E, 982E which don't start from interchange

That is because the E buses is to cater for the peak hour crowd to CBD around the different town. 856 is already considered looping at Woodlands btw coz they just stop at alighting berth tap card and go off. 853 to GL1 can loop but 853 to UEC cant loop

It will be DD friendly for sure. Whether SMRT gets DDs or not, it will not make the mistake again to block the possibility of having them.

39 can loop and also have 2 peak hour split shift DDs once it starts looping at Yishun.

It will be DD friendly for sure. Whether SMRT gets DDs or not, it will not make the mistake again to block the possibility of having them.

Maybe the DD-friendly point is not even targeted at SMRT; SBST can make use of it well to deploy split DD on 39; its KUBs are not really coping Seletar crowd well IMHO.
