This is a very good service for all the people living around Tampines and Simei who can take a direct bus to Changi Business Park rather than traveling via the crowded NEL and changing at Expo and then walking down to their office to CBP. Time and cost saving. See this service to be a big success.

Yep I agree. I had actually hoped for such bus service years back. Hate it when I have to wait so damn long for the CGA train

I foresee 20 to have 4 Wrights, 4 Citaros. I also foresee 20 to have a 20A plying from Tampines to Changi in morning peak, and downroutes during evening peak from Changi Business Center to Tampines.

Wrights? Nah. Probably 8-9 Citaros again. Even if there WERE to be Wrights it won't be more than 2. Though this service may thrive, the length of the service is not justifiable for 50% Wrights.

It's not justified for such a short service to get SWT too.

A bit OT but I feel sooner or later there will be a bus park near Sengkang or Punggol.

I sense this Svc 20 will be popular during weekdays peak and probably if there's a fair at Expo.

I am also hoping that there will be a new bus depot around SK/PG area

Sooner we will see Bndep/Cgbp/Lydep will take more duties from their part control Svc with other depot.Im not surprise if 109 is the other way round.Im not surprised too if they minor control CGA Svc like 24/27/53.

I WILL be surprised if 109 gets more HGDEP duties. Should be getting more LYDEP duties instead.

And yeah, 27's freq is so messy and frequent I can't imagine how dual-depot control can screw up that service.

short service cant get SWT? if the demand are one directional, it is better to have some SWT....explain Sv269... during peak hours, you cant predict the actual crowds taking the buses. like sv6 and 37, they are also using DDs.. and for those companies in CBP, they might stop providing transports to their workers, if the bus service is reliable... one month of chartering buses to fetch buses to their office/factories in CBP cost more than S$3000 per month.. it is not cheap...

20 will get majority fleet Wrights as there are only 1-2 spare BSEP Citaros in BNDEP, unless it is operated by SBST as mentioned earlier.

Currently workers repasting the sticker for the board at tamp inter (the one displaying the berths. Svc 20 lot is at Svc 31, 3 & 67 lot, svc plate has been put up on the wall, the BUZZ shop has went missing cos of the queue made up end up the pokka vending machine stand out thr vry weird with it's orignal position facing the queue.

wonder where will they relocate the BUZZ shop? And i wonder if tampines inter will get upgraded and rebuild in the near future? anyone can tell me?

What do you mean for this part of the post? It sounds as if though another company is operating it.

He did not phrase properly.

Basically he meant that unless the service is FUNDED by SBST becoz according to the press release SBST said before it will introduce a non-BSEP svc to CBP. Idk how SBST managed to somehow convince LTA to make it BSEP, since SBST are suffering profit loss.

I thought sv 20 would have fleet of 8 buses with 3 Wrights deployed. I think this sv will have spot loading like JIS services. In future expect downroute on sv 20 from CGBP and 20A in morning peak.

In fact, SBST should also deploy buses 72B style from Simei MRT.

There were just 1-2 spare BSEP Citaros till yesterday in BNDEP / CGBP. Transfer overnight.
