Ulam - Traditional Malay Salad

Does anyone know where I can get GOOD ulam? Its a mix of raw vegetables and herbs with sambal balacan.

Or alternatively - can share w me some of the herbs that go into the ulam Razz

I am sure u all have eaten before. often served with malay food...

but those tt I have eaten in Singapore doesnt serve with the herbs.. can u see that green herb.. what herb issit harrrr

I’m not sure if I’ve tried it, but you can try this shophouse nasi padang ‘cafe’ at either Jln Pinang or Jln Pisang (both next to each other, off Victoria Street). This place sells the kampong type of dishes, including the curried jackfruit pulp, and a dish that consists of fried kampong leaves/vegetable/herbs which I don’t see at the usual nasi padang stalls.

Orrh...this one looks like something I'd eaten in Bali...it came with the fabulous bbq chicken and tantalising sambal. *drooling...*

the herbs doesn't taste raw. It has a very fresh taste to it.

Hmm yah but their selection of the vegetable is often very limited... I am looking specifically for the herb. But found it liao

Not a huge fan of Malay food

The only Malay food I eat are Mee Siam and Mee Soto and what you call that.... Mee Rebus

If you consider Ayam Penyet a Malay dish that is what I eat too
