Jack's place has gd ambience but the food sucks.

Shd try swensen's or other not so famous but cosy restaurants.

Jack's place at hougang plaza and hougang not bad what......

Swensen's Thomson is also not bad.....but Sengkang's one is too crowded. Outdoor seats at Crown Prince also gd what......

Do not waste time trying their mixed grill....

To me, any mixed grill that has a sausage, bacon, he bao dan together with your steak and veg is NOT a mixed grill.

I like their boiled potatoes though. Along with their toppings...but steak is best eaten at home.

I can recommend some good places to buy NZ ribeyes or sirloins in AMK wet market...

Sirloin is the most common and cheapest steak cut

Ribeye is tender, not as tender as the tenderloin but more flavourful.

Tenderloin like it's name is the most tender part of the cow really.

T-bone is the intersection between the Tenderloin and the loin. You get meat from both sides and the bone adds flavour to the meat. Ok, if they sell per piece but if the steak is charged by weight, you are paying lots for the bone.

I think you better go for medium well. Medium rare might be too bloody for you.

but the most expensive cut in the supermarket is fillet.

that's why i like my own steaks cos i buy fillet, and they are the only tender kind of steak......... those steaks served in restaurants are all tough IMO and i never see fillet steak in the restaurants.

so wat's the difference between fillet and tenderloin?
