nights SG U/C mean the set is for US instead of the Jap/asia set which beared NTSC-J logo. Mod chip inclusive of installation are between $80-100.
nights SG if u want to play on a pal tv then u have to get a pal PS2 which is so called for euro. as long as your TV can support NTSC, NTSC-U/C or J set will be playable on the TV.
