Sacrilegeous!!! WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE RAMLY BURGER?!?!
Lemme tell u... I quote from a diary entry....
"The man, nodded at me in a businesslike manner, and briskly took
out a slim patty from his icebox. I stood by his stall and waited.
His actions were practised as he flipped the patty and began to
butter the bun. I can hear the faint sizzle as he pressed the bun
down gently to warm it.
His fingers sprinkle a generous portion of vegetables and onions
over the bun. I tried to see what are the various sauces that he
squeezed liberally from his bottle, but the yellow light rendered
the colour of the sauces all shades of grey.
He wrapped the chicken patty up with the omelette dexterously,
flipping it int a square. Then he assembled the entire burger on
the plastic wrap and wrapped it up. He gently popped the burger
into a crisp paperbag, and folded once across the top of the bag
neatly - and he handed it to me with both hands and murmured "Dua
Dua"
At that moment, I had a revelation. This man is giving me a RAMLY
BURGER. Its not a characterless, mass-produced Big M Bugger.
It is a RAMLY burger. Every single burger is different,
made with love -- with YOU in mind. You can stand next to him, and
tell him if u wanted less salt, less sauce, more onions. It has the
cook's personal touch that is not standardised by franchise. It is
- in short - a work of art.
You get to see it, smell it, feel it, and eat it, all for a mere
2.20 ringgit. At that moment, when I first unwrapped it, and sink
my teeth into that juicy savoury burger, I know I felt at peace
with the world and I am CONTENTED.
