REGION 1 DVDs (uncensored)

Ponders SG

Want to find out if anyone's interested in getting region 1 DVDs.

So far i know those can get quite costly here, and am able to get them about $5-20 cheaper depending on titles.

These are original and unopened DVDs.

I should be able to get whatever www.amazon.com stocks.

Only catch is, you gotta wait 2-3 weeks for me to fill your order.

If you guys are interested, do give me the title of the movie and i will quote you a price and see if it is attractive to you.

If possible, try to give me what singapore is selling too. So at least i know if i can beat that price.

hm.. im interested. alot of dvd amazon got but singapore dun haf.. but o cos depends on price oso..

Ponders SG

Yah, you gotta tell me what titles they are and the price in singapore (if available).

I most probably can give lower prices than Amazon.com.

wuming78 SG

ok.. saving private ryan and terminator 2. both oso canot be found in spore.

wat u can get r originals rite? Wink

Ponders SG

Wuming78.

I think it's gonna be about S$65 per title delivered to your door.

they are original and sealed and unopened.

wuming78 SG

wow.. 65 pp is abit steep.. thanx anyway!

Ponders SG

Yeah, but that's the best price i could give i think.

I am not too sure what Amazon will charge.. but it would be about the same because they are charging tons for international shipping.

Moreover the titles you gave are "expensive" titles. hehe

sorry anyway.

I am interested in getting 2 DVDs

a) Gettysburg (Martin Sheen)
b) Gods & Generals (Robert Duvall)

Both are about USA civil war ..

Question .. Region 1 DVD .. can it work in Asia? Will our DVD player be able to play it?

Please let me know the cost. Thank you

the Bear SG

I think most players sold in Singapore have been tweaked to play all codes. If you are not sure, check with the guy who sold you the player...

Our region code is 3 (I think).

The older players, if coded 3, will not be able to play it...

wuming78 SG

most standalone dvd players are region free meaning can play dvd of all regions. but this may not be true for dvd drives.

Ponders SG

Kenhor, it will be abour S$140 for everything. But Gods and general is not a released title yet and it's a 2 discs set, hence the higher price.

Gettysburg is available, but the price quoted is if you order both the same time as i would be paying less for shipping. teehee.

Whether Region 1 will play in players here, you gotta know if you tweaked your DVD player, otherwise, its no.
