Well, the academic building in NTU is limited to North Spine and
South Spine. Everything is concentrated in a few places, which
really reminds me of JC and Poly.
University should have this 'open' feeling where faculties are
distinct, each with its own character, with its own buildings, like
NUS, or any other colleges overseas.
As for the rules, how about not attending tutorial for 3 times, and
you're barred from exams, and the administration is so 'against'
setting up of clubs and societies. (a lot of red tapes). There is
little feeling of entrepreneurship, academic freedom and
development, or even the spirit of youthful boldness...
Everything runs round the mill, round the system... so rigid and
stale... Makes you wonder -- is this the place that gives you the
best time of your life?
A monolithic monument to academia!
