hey, you're giving me the impression that people who go to pubs tend to be bengs, and people who want to meet girls.

There are people who go pubcs for the pure purpose of relaxation; with frineds or colleagues. Don't paint the inaccurate portrait please. I go to pubcs myself, and hey, I don't talk like a beng and at least I can contruct a proper sentence without trying to act cute. Think about it, especiallyt he person who posted the original topic.

Of course i agree with you. I hit the pubs mainly due to the reason that i enjoy the music they play there as a form of relaxation.

BUT one thing that i have in mind that it need not necessary be what is being termed as "bengs" (please do take note that this word does not exist in Longman Dictionary) to turn up at pubs over at boatquay.

One of the reasons that i have in mind that only an individual personnel who has an im-mature mind concept will allow thoughts to wonder so far as to live in the age of teenagers who are out there to have fun without any considerations to the image they are giving to others.

Of course, i do not hope that you are not one of those who are deemed to be youngsters.

One other thing to add on is that, this is a informal chat forum. You can insist on constructing proper sentences as you deem fit. Please bear in mind that if you feel that just because one can type good english, it does not necessary mean that person's behaviour and mindset is as "cultured" as it seems.

Frankly, i have no idea, i was just replying to a post that mentioned about bengs in this forum. Nevertheless, i do admit that such culture is grooming in Singapore, but they are still a human too, thus no comments about that either.

Still stick to the topic ... i just went down to pier69 on both saturday and sunday, things had quietened down over there.

But they still play good music. The DJ is friendly enough to play the songs on request too!!

well it seems tat exclusive is the best of the lot coz it play techno n trance while boathouse play too much trance music which can be a headache!!! taps too much bengs n dj no good!!1 mambo nice place but music n dj no good too much retro n hoorible music that cant be dance wif!! while pier 69 nice muscic too much bengs!!!!

Pier 69 i do admit is quite populated with those kinda of guys u all mentioned earlier. But i do admit that the songs there are really nice to dance to.

Boathouse changed their DJ about 1 month ago. Thus the change of music style. Pretty hard to follow the tunes though.

Xclusive ... quite ok ... but the lightings and effect ... any one can let me know if their dance floor is big/small??

Do u always hangs out at BQ??? u seems to hang out alot ard ...from Mambo No.5 to Rumrunners rite??? btw i work in BQ ..do work there too??? Hv u tried MadMonk's Bar And Rootz at Riverwalk...(juz walk thru the underpass from coffee bean)??? Very Happy

As a matter of fact, i DO hang out at boatquay a lot. Maybe one of the reasons is that i met my ger there (lol)

But i do still go down alone sometimes.

Tend to go there at least 3 times a week.

Anyone has any ideas of organising a boatquay outing at 69??
