I have observed 163's loading for the past few weeks. It didnt
seem to be affected very much by the introduction of Service
50.
More often than not, both 50 and 163 will be almost 80-90% full
at fernvale and sengkang west area during peak hours.
However for weekends, due to the absence of working adults and
also secondary school kids, the number of DDs for 163 has been
observed to be reduced.
50's DDs are not utilised well as well.
50 is more like a school bus actually.
With that said, the conclusion is, Sengkang West and Fernvale
definitely deserves more bus services other than 50 and
163.
Yea maybe a service that plies/terminates at areas close to the
south or west will be good, since SK west & Fernvale currently
lacks this connectivity, although the existence of the North East
Line seems to already cut out this possible option.
