actually very sensible for SMRT to buy more MAN superlion bendy, dd and rigid together. can have discount like sbs transit. dd don't have to be 13.7m, 12m is good.

Just get 300 double deckers to increase the capacity and free up more space for more buses in the depots.

Bus operators don't fix at the same bus manufacturer brands all the time.

Now SBST has switch to Mercedes Benz from Scania and SMRTB to MAN from Mercedes Benz, which is a good sign.
