Actually it is time that SBST to get back some bus service from
SMRTB.
It has really shown that SMRTB cannot handle its bus operations
well, even after so many years taking over from TIBS.
Services like 171, 106, 184, 190 should be handled back to SBST
and some services like 857, 960 should be handled over to
SBST.
The solution of SBST to control all bus services in Singapore
and SMRT controlling all heavy rail networks is more viable for
Singapore public transport system in the long
term. Multi-modal companies and duopoly compeition is not
realistic and not reliable in long term.
