Anyways is ZF or Voith more fuel efficient for citybus
operations since more gears = better fuel efficiency?
Actually it depends on the driver's skill. All the Batch 2B
wright BC for service 166(except 3081Y) is very well trained in
driving a wright with voith gearbox. but when a ZF wright is
replacing the voith wright's slot, I noticed the BCs of those voith
gearbox having difficulties coping with ZF. I was wondering whether
did SBST let them train on both type of buses with different
gearbox, and the journey would delay for several minutes.
