It's possible, MIGHT happen, but probably won't, not for now.

With Punggol and Sengkang undergoing development an expansion or a new wing of HGDEP seems more important. Was thinking of the area behind the SBST NEL SKDEP to serve Punggol/Sengkang area. For management this would be strangely awesome. Also helps that the area already has a service servicing the area (163/163M).

Idea already given. =P

Living in the east, I'm not so sure about the situation in the west - does SLBP or BBDEP require expansion?

Overview so far for SBST:

AMDEP: Might require expansion. Possible locations for new wings are:
1) In the same industrial estate as the original AMDEP,
2) Somewhere located in between the CTE and Jalan Kayu
HGDEP: Definitely requires expansion. Possible locations for new wings are:
1) Next to SBST NEL SKDEP.
2) Paya Lebar area.
BNDEP: Probably not. But could be moved further east if HGDEP expands.
BBDEP/SLBP: Probably might need expansion. Possible location for new wing:
1) Off Bukit Batok Heavy Vehicle Park

Overview so far for SMRT:

AMDEP: Possible new location:
1) Conversion of GL1 to a BP
2) Kallang area
KJDEP: Possible new location:
1) Mandai Rd, near Bukit Panjang
WLDEP: Probably no need? Woodlands area is freaking huge anyway.

Wldep need expanding if they start using DDs,The old one have to be relocated,If new one capacity is only 300 is aint enough.Wldep need at least 500 lots.Mandai near Bt Panjang is under planning while dun rule out Bt Batok Rd near the heavy vehicle park(Jurong Rd where 174 turn)also.AMDEP can built along Yio Chu Kang forest area where 854/857 2nd bus stop is)Or simply relocated just infront of the depot itself.Single lane rd queing up buses going to depot is dangerous along AMK st 64.Hgdep no need expand cause only Serangoon ctrl/Hougang Ctrl/Sengkang/Punggol beside Sims Pl and Lor 1.Eunos i predict will be under the Bndep once the new Upp Changi Bus Park complete.You will see a lot of depot redeployment then.I'm not surprised if 13 dual depot with Bndep or 161 goes full Amdep.

This is provided SMRT goes for DDs anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current situation with most of those routes that SMRT runs aren't suitable for DDs...? They'll have to fix the DD situation before doing anything about the depots or bus parks.

Hong Kah area (Cnr of Jurong & Bukit Batok rds) can replace KJDEP, like what Carbikebus once mentioned.

For SBS, Tampines West near Ikea seems suitable.

Eunos/Sims Place/Geylang Fringe better off under BNDEP

ARBP buses can go over to BBDEP. The latter’s responsibilities have shrunk since the NW-NE swap of 1999.

There is a large plain at AMK Industrial Estate 2 along AMK Ave 5 is able to park at most 400 buses if it is single-floor. If it is a MSBP, then about 700.

Nah,The criteria is the road condition to enter the depot itself bro.Current SMRT Amdep route to enter the depot itself already cause near accident scene cause of the single lane road
