Now I found out how come the SMRT box bendy refurbished, the rubber cover look so glossy..

They used some PVC or cloth tape to paste...

Now it's falling apart...

Which rubber cover are you talking about? Anyway, the air-con panels and so on are spray-painted.

spray paint wun even give a glossy look on the articulator cover piece in e long run. It's not even metal

Let me give one more hint...

There's 2 layers of the same colour tone of the cover piece. 1st inner layover is what's likely to be spray painted (dull)...

The cloth tape is likely tambah over to let ppl have the glossy feel...

There's a saying of sort, when it looks too good, something is obviously wrong...

They used cheapo contractor to refurbish.Rubber joints also go and spray lacquer.If I'm the CEO of the co I would retired the Mk1 bendys,Umw Lances,Hinos,4xx-5xx series O405s first.Replace with facelift Citaros,Irisbus Citeas,Scania Citywide LF and trial the MAN A39 ND363F 3 axles 13.7m DDs first.Or customised the NL323 chassis and built a 2 axles DD

Eh.. They gave up within 2 years after Changi Airport opened, what has the MRT to do w/ it? It's more because they ended up having to upkeep so many buses to cover the long distance. Dun forget the housing demograph in those days...

Nearest new town would been Bedok.

727, 737, 747, 757 & 767 are operated jointly by SSB & SSTA. Consider this as a Scheme B service, but however, SSB buses were used on these 5 services.

There comes the 2nd phase of the SBS Changi Airport Bus Plan 1983, whereby the Changi Airport Bus Service were "rationalised". The existing Changi Airport Bus Services operated by SBS, SSB & SSTA are all integrated into 5 SBS Services.

Hmm, it has nothing to do with the MRT.. I don't know who mentioned that the Changi Airport Bus Service Rationalisation is because of the MRT..

There's 2 Changi Airport bus rationalisation program conducted in 1983 & 2002... The latter is because of the commencement of the Airport line... For that, I guess you dun even know what's going on..

The info you claimed tat you know must have been from what people posted here.. So u claim to know.. I can't blame you..

Why? Cos you exposed yourself, you can say knowing 727..., 390... But you didn't know 34 & 506 was rationalised, 24A was implemented?

I remembered 24A ... The terminating point was at Tanah Merah MRT Stn... I boarded the service last time when I stayed at Hougang St 11... If I can remember clearly, SBS 3770 S I boarded...
