Yup. Just to add on, the engine footprint at the last row of the
Citaro G with Keisei Bus in Makuhari is the same as our 6.4-litre
Citaro (4 seats with the most right radiator taking up the same
footprint) even though it packs a 12-litre engine.
Mercedes-Benz actually recommends the OM 457 hLA with 354
PS/1600 Nm as the engine of choice for operators who are after an
articulated bus with the best driveability for urban conditions,
with or without air conditioning. This is the engine output
selected for the Keisei units. This engine develops very high
torque at low engine speeds, meaning that driver fatigue is
minimised i.e. less effort required to merge into traffic, keep up
with traffic, climb grades, and so on.
