Aiya, seriously many of the Chinese saying we use here is literally translated by the mix of dialect and English...

I tend to suspect the use of PRC term is also due to the fact that they want standardisation esp on city & country names...

The real mess up they did is not Language actually... It's the basics of teaching the kids properly and not treat studies just to be remembered for exams..

I guess you didn't know in the past, 1 road can end up having diff names due to dialects and so on.. Until someone decided to standardise it following the bus co merger into SBS.
