In general SBST will control 75% of bus operation,NEL,DTL and possible the ERL also right?

SMRT control 25% bus,EWL,NSL,CCL,TSL right?

Service like 51,61 need to cut a bit of its route while other new service should at least skip some bus stops if they dont ply expressways.Premium or Express is secondary answer.

960 likely to reroute somewhere else,190 i think looping at Orchard and 700 maybe convert to peak hour service.Just my thought dont blast this on me k.With current More Train Rosak pattern i dun think LTA stupid enough to cut more bus routes.128 another good examples hopefully Sat also run from 0630-1300.

haaha in view of the current situation now, I seriously doubt the government is going to touch any of the bus routes anymore. In fact, more bus routes will be added to ply these MRT lines.

They used to think that MRT is so reliable that they can actually cut down on bus routes, which will eventually cut down on buses on the roads, but MRT is not so reliable afterall.. =X

So, what I can foresee in future is there will be more bus routes plying MRT lines..

I feel its better ERL/TSL under SBST while DTL under SMRT.Imagine the rail staff at DTL BPJ have to pay for bus ride..NEL no problem leh cause Punggol/Sengkang/Hougang/Serangoon all free bus rides,Ditto for NSL staff free bus rides at WDL/SBW/YIS/BBT/CCK..

My opinion is dun cut/change any of the current bus routes. With an increased population, people should have more options to take the kind of public transport they want.

Before 1987, where got MRT? everyone take bus

Even after 1987, MRT from Yio Chu Kang to Toa Payoh only, no eastwest line, no northeast line

If DTL spoil, can still backup...

Somemore as this is occuring pretty often, some ppl will just take 170 whenever CW2 or SJE is delayed by massive jam on PIE

Ya.. It true. 170 won't cut because that service mainly serves from Queen Steet to Johor Bahru for years. Queen Street bus terminal are locally recognise for buses and taxis to Johor. It won't cut for sure.

However, I guess service 66 might cut once DTL 1,2 & 3 open. It is because it serves Bedok Reservoir, Ubi, MacPherson, Bendemeer, Rochor, Bt.Timah areas that have DTL 1,2 & 3. Maybe 66 will serves from Jurong East to Bukit Timah only or Bedok to Bukit Timah instead of full route.

Doubt so svc 67 and 23 will be cut. Some passengers like to take 23 because it travel on expressway where people can get seat instead of standing in trains.

This is what I guess. Maybe it's too early to predict. Cheers...

Hope 170 shortened to Bt Batok.63M is to serve Ubi n McPherson area mainly workers at the industrial area.Thats why the need to 63 to cut Ubi/McPherson sector and introduced a fixed new short haul or feeder follow 63M route

Most of 63's load is between Eunos/MacPherson/Aljunied and Ubi, even during the days when 63A is still existent, so why the fuss is about to cut 63's route?

Problem is DTL dun have 'potong jalan' for you to get from Bt Timah to Bedok Reservoir at Rochor... Unless you switch to CCL at Botanic Gardens and back at Macpherson... lol

Meaning to say, cutting up 66 is pretty difficult still.

Hope to see the transport operators revert back to those days before the Tibs/SMRT merger. SBST and Tibs to operate all the bus routes only whereas SMRT the sole rail operator to operate all MRT and LRT lines.
