Actually, it is more of if there is no more seats available, the
Bus Captain has the right to refuse entry to any passenger, even if
he or she is willing to stand throughout the journey.
Unless the passenger is willing to sit on the floor, else the
Bus Captain will be penalised by LTA if ROV or TP catches a
standing passenger on the premium bus service.
SBST/SMRT will be penalised by the BC's actions but only a
stern warning will materialise rather than punitive
measures.
Premium BC's are briefed on how to handle insistent
customers. Furthermore, premium passengers
are MOSTLY regulars, standees on premium svcs are REMOTELY
unlikely to happen but any incident cannot
be discounted
