there is totally no competition. both companies are majority owned

of course, benefits like economies of scale, better allocation and
utilization of resources, can be realised
politically, tuck yew will not do that because it will look bad as
the public land transport industry will be a monopoly market. the
only thing standing in between a merger is him indifrectly.
monority shareholders will never have enough shares to block any
decisions
either way, PAP already screwed up the industry.
