Tepanyaki @ Wisma Food Court

Today I had juz experienced a very bad service attitude from this stall selling Tepanyaki in Wisma Atria Food Court… The “Chef’s” attitude is really bad… I told him nicely that i do not wan spring onions in my bean sprouts, But he juz happily put it in… Den when I told him again, He juz told me “TOO BAD” at most he can do is not to put it in my meat later… After tat I had no choice but to pick up all the spring onions b4 i ate… It took me quite some time picking all the spring onions out… This time the bloody “CHEF” gave me a stare and walk away and complain abt me to his colleagues as i can see him pointing fingers at my direction when he is toking… After i finished my UNSATISFACTORY meal, the gangster lookalike waiter came to collect the dishes in a very rude manner… He ask me in chinese ” Chi Bao Le Meh You” (Eat Finish Already Anot), b4 i could reply, he took the dishes in a very rude manner and walk away… I wonder wat kind of farking service is this_{? Anyone experience this at
this stall b4}? Thumbs Down to their farking attitude~

Anyway….. They can ask u wan Chilli anot but why can’t they ask u wan spring onions anot~? when u tell them u dun wan, they show attitude….

Well, I guess it boils down to the chef's inflexibility. He has been used to cooking non- chilli ones first, then the chilli ones. And then someone suddenly tells him take out spring onion....... C what I mean?

Anyway, what you pay is what u get? This is food court teppanyaki, not Europa Club teppanyaki. What's more, teppanyaki chefs at clubs are tuned to socialise with customers but not the M'sian chef at food courts.

So if u really don't want spring onions in teppanyaki, u can try asking them again but don't feel short changed if they du lan. U dun wan du lan face? Then eat at the clubs.

Well, it's bad.

But sometimes I wonder why people don't complain there and then to the manager where there is a chance of rectifying the situation, but instead choose to complain online afterwards.

If there is a manager there, I would surely complain… But the problem there is NO Manager… Hope the Boss that open this stall sees this… The problem is he is in the wrong 1st but still show attitude… I told him b4 he cook, but he still turn a deaf ear… Are this MALAYSIAN “CHEF” deaf~?

I have never had much high regard for foodcourt style teppanyakki.

The chefs are given something amounting to 'basic hot plate training' and 'tossed into the fire' of customers. No authenticity and certainly no quality.

Their appearance looks better suited to a cooking show rather than professional chefs: dyed hair, improperly worn attire and poor service attitude. Most are your typical 'ah bengs' masquarading as 'cooks'.

I can see why the one at Junction 8 closed down. Bugis didn't last very long...lets see how the Wisma outlet holds out.

Personally, for good teppanyakki, be prepared to spend more money. Else, just avoid it totally.

Don't waste time with those half-past 6 wannabes.

You can try Jurong Hill Jap Restaurant. The Teppanyakki is decent.

Else if you have cash to spend, go for Shima at Goodwood park.

Raffles Town Club has one pretty good restaurant which serves Teppanyakki as well. Forgot the name though...

There have a few outlets. Used to have it in Junction 8, Great World City and Lot 1 but now they left with Northpoint, Wisma and Tampinese Mall.

It is an economic and unique place for teppanyaki, interesting as well.

But I do agree that the staffs did not go through proper training. Think it is also because it is not run by a big organisation and such issues are not look into.
