Hi all,
It has come to my attention that at least some of the production
Citaros for SMRT Buses have the new ZF-EcoLife 6-speed automatic
transmission (model 6 AP 1200 B).
For passengers, this new transmission can be differentiated from
the previous ZF-Ecomat transmissions by the completely different
gearchange and retarder noises, lower upshift RPMs as well as
different gear selection buttons on the driver's dash (blue and
black instead of red and white).
I'm surprised that nobody has pointed this out already!
Perth recently received Australia's first Mercedes-Benz OC 500
LE with the ZF-EcoLife transmission (model 6 AP 1400 B). A

So does SBST Citaros have the new ZF EcoLife 6 speed auto
transmission as well???
