7888 is off duty for a while never see it appear on 25 for sometime. demo time is over???? it is a nice bus. may sbs should buy some of them.

It was laid up for a short period of time, now it's out of laid up, probably going back to service any time soon.

No no no and no, 7888 is one of the worst DD buses ever, I am glad that bus is gone, really cmi. Why? So much problems with that bus, and its Scania you talking about. You should go and look at the other bus types, Dennis Enviro, Man Lion City ....etc There are a lots of better types of DD buses than Scania. Unless Scania release a much better product, I would say a big fat NO to any of their buses. The Volvo B9TL Wright beats the K310UB in every aspect. Period.

Yeah bro.Dun get too happy so quickly.As alot of ppl r saying nw,that bus is apparently out of layup.And hopefully it does go back into revenue svc soon.

That's what I think also... Cos last sat i saw 7630, 7571 (from slbp), 7552(canon ad from bndep), 7601(from brbp) all of them were training buses driving in and out of HGDEP. Maybe is WEG2 conversion course and HGDEP is the training center.

Wrights are replacing all sort of buses right now... LO/VO etc etc....so now Sv168 got 2 wrights (full day -7589/7597) as fleet add (as mention by you previously) and another2 wrights to replace 2 of the LO3x? can confirm which Lo3x is out?

So far can't yet. Plus, despite the 2(7589 and 7597) is on 168, there will be 3/4 LOs(that's last time, now left 0) doing on 168.

Basically I think they still use some different parts as one is a single decker and another is a double decker. Moreover I feel that SBST might have learnt its lesson not to buy so many buses from one brand. Just look at the modification costs they have to incur to correct the faults of the KUBs, like the grabpoles, installing torsion bush to make the body less vibrating, modifying transmission and braking systems, etc. Anyway, the KUD demo is an EURO 4 version. Not sure whether there is an EEV or even EURO 6 version.I don't think SBST will buy anymore EURO 4 buses in future. And Volvo proved to be a more realiable brand for double deckers for the past 20 years. It is more logical that SBST sticks to buying Volvo double decker buses.

As long as the bus wheel doesn't fall off when I'm on it, or cause resonance within the body, or microwave me on a rotating seat.....I'm cool with any DD.

The K310UD is good enough to me in that sense.

the kub problem is coz SBST didn't plan properly.
they were rushing with registration w/o realising the problems that existed in the kubs.
even the interior wasn't exactly well planned.

they shld have sent out 1 or 2 as demostrators, then order the rest months later with all the modifications that were required on the later batches done beforehand.

My opinion is they can buy more wrights as simple as that, but one thing for sure, NO more Scania buses as they are a nightmare on the roads! Any other brands but Scania. If K310ud is good enough for you, please go to HK and try the Dennis Enviro 500!

something off topic, a few CDGE B9TL i have taken got this bad vibration noise when it is not moving. what is the cause of the problem? also the engine roar is very loud. is it due to the poor bodywork?
