I think SV 84 will get its perm buses from SV 82 with the fleet of two. Together with a fleet cut of 2 buses from SV 82 perhaps. Due to a Loop service and increase in freq.

Most likely i think SV 84 will be like 882, one bus reaching PGL int, another out. Around 15-18 min freq. or mayb lesser.

84 was a bad idea anyway. it doesnt connect to a lot of other services and also serves a very limited area... think they should have started it from sengkang instead but then again may not have enough berths there...

Yup i agree with u. Very hard to connect to Punggol Rd end. Punggol promenade is nr completion yet the transport coverage deteoriates. I thot 84 should at least start from Sengkang via Compassvale Rd and Compassvale Dr.

my bc friend told me that service 84 will only operate 2 buses. At the frequency at 10-15minutes. Fleet same as service 284M. Buses will loop at punggol road end and go back to the interchange. Service 84 will be deployed with the current old mk lll buses. It will be on trial for 6 months, same as the ex- 181. The bcs can be from service 82 or 83. As 82 is looping @ serangoon central on w.e.f from 3 sept, i believe that svc 82 will cut fleet and 1 bus from service 82 might go to service 84. If i’m not wrong, service 82 will have the same BCs, not replacing them.

@AEW5001 no way man, with the poor wheelchair friendly berths at punggol interchange, it’s impossible to get some citaros in there. Never in my life i have seen PIWs boarding svc 136 at punngol int.

4 of these services have a second interchange. i have never seen PIWs in punggol interchange boarding these svcs.

Services of similar mileage have a known minimum trip duration of about 22 minutes, assuming that the road to Punggol Rd End is pretty clear of traffic.

it's one of the most open interchanges.

And, all Int are either BFA or are going to (Left with HBF & Toa Payoh).

Too little catchment area, tat's the problem.

Fair enough, Hougang onwards should be good enough actually.

As for feeders, no comments, but seriously feeder - trunk concept should be much better as long as in the cases of high loading neighbourhood zones. Same goes for places where the town centre's location is pretty lopsided.
