Special Indicator on SBST Volvo B10M Mk IV's

Well, i am sure most of you took the Mk IVs (Mk IV and Mk IV Strider) have you all heard the beeping sound in the bus? At first i thought is just the bus jerking when stop but i realised that almost quite a number of Mk IVs are having this weird sound and I notice there is a small indicator attached to the dashboard.

It will beep when like it is near the kerb to alert the driver how near the bus is to the kerb i guess. Its like will show 1.2, 0.8 if it to the left, there will also be bar indicator depending on left or right.

I think it also beeps when a vehicle gets close the bus. I first heard this beeping sound on SBS2693M and I thought there was some problem with the bus but subsequently, I took other MK4s(SBS1942B and SBS2618G) and noticed that they beep too.

Heard it on several mark IV as well. I consider that as annoying. Do anyone know wad's tt for?

I heard it too for a few striders and DM3500s. I think the beep works the same way as the car beep as it reverses, allowing the driver to know how much space left is there to go.
