How come the fares for the JB routes are lower?

do you understand how the distance fare band works?

1.1km reduction would confirm trigger fare reduction.

OT a bit..
does DBTF applies for a 170B to 170R transfer nowadays?

Kranji 170 Blue > 170 Red > 170 Blue Kota Raya is 3 new trips?

or is the system still too complicated to modify it?

Taking SBST or SMRT bus svc from sg to JB, we are charged in Sing dollars. But if taking from JB; we pay in ringgit for cash payment but still pay in Sing dollar if using EZ-link card from JB? That means we can save money by paying cash (rather than using EZ-link) when boarding the bus from JB?

but once you x-fer not worth paying by RM w/ DBTF alrdy.

Let's say if I take from JB CIQ to Kranji, x-fer to MRT to C'wealth & finally x-fer to Sv 100 to Alexandra Hill.

CW1: RM0.90 (S$0.37) + MRT 19.8km/ $1.64 + Sv 100 2.4km/ $0.06 = $2.07

160/ 170X: 4.9km/ $0.91 + MRT 19.8km/ $0.86 + Sv 100 2.4km/ $0.03 = $1.80

160/ 170X: RM1.20 (S$0.50) + MRT 19.8km/ $1.64 + Sv 100 2.4km/ $0.06 = $2.20

sbst275 SG

direct journeys

Say I take 160 from JB CIQ to Ten Mile Junction

10.6km: $1.29. To/ Fro = $2.58

Cash: $1.60 + RM1.60 (S$0.66) = $2.26

Say I take 170 from JB CIQ to Rifle Range Rd

13.9km: $1.41. To/ Fro: $2.82

Cash: $1.80 + RM1.80 ($0.74) = $2.54

Say to Chartered Semiconductor

3.1km: $0.71. To/ Fro: $1.42

Cash: $1 + RM1 ($0.41) = $1.41
