Thai village seafood restaurant.
Located just at the juction when u turn into changi village.
sharksfins : damn power, its not the usual watery kind u get from
other restaurants. the crab meat they used are very soft and
tender. their sharksfins used are not those shredded ones but
instead its those in pieces form. a medium 1 can fill 4
bowls.
Hotplate tofu : Tofu is simply delicious. very seldom can find
places that serves tofu like this. Its not the round type u usually
see but its those rectangle pieces type. skin is nicely fried but
the inside is surprisingly soft. Like the M&Ms chocolate says,
" Melts in ur mouth, not in ur hands" Gravy very good too.
Sweet and sour pork : Not very poor but also not that excellent
compared to the 2 above. the meat was not crispy enough but overall
this dish is quite above the average.
Seafood "EE Mee" : High dmg for a small plate. $12 per plate.
seafood used are very fresh, u dun get the sea taste in ur mouth
after eating the sotong or the fish slice or even the prawns. and
their prawns are quite fleshy too not those " heh bee" size.
chilli crab : request for more gravy and ask them to make it more
spicey for chilli lovers. u can easily finish a bowl of rice with
just the gravy itself. its very delicious. crab is very fleshy too.
not liek some places they give the crab big but no meat. Dmg on
this dish is kinda high too as they go by the weight. Check the
rates b4 ordering.
ordered a desert for myself, its some sort of a chocolate coated
ice cream. but the chocolate coating is very thick. u can actually
taste more of the chocolate than the vanilla ice cream inside.
chocolate lovers shld try this. $6.50 for 1.
My total dmg for the dinner here is about $140+++. they give a 20%
discount if u use Nets or Credit Cards. so my dmg after the
discount is around $120++
Service here is excellent too. the staffs here will not pull a long
face if u ask them to get something for u repeatedly and ur request
will be brought to u shortly.
Overall rating i give for this place will be 8.5/10
