Yes, there used to be a Jurong interchange in the past. Services
10, 30, 154, 157, 165, 187 (now Tibs/SMRT), 196, 198, 199, feeders
and JIS all terminate there. Tibs services 178, 852 and
951 terminate at the Jurong Interchange too. All the SBS
services plying along Jurong Interchange should be based under
JRBP.
When Boon Lay interchange opened together with the MRT in 1990,
most to the Jurong interchange bus services were amended to
terminate at Boon Lay interchange. Whereas services 10, 165 and 196
terminate at Clementi instead. Feeder 241 (not the current one) was
amended to Jurong East interchange.
In addition, service 192 also terminated at Jurong interchange. The
service plied from the interchange to South Canal terminal, later
merged with service 51.
Other services which operated from the interchange include 450
(to Pasir Laba Rd), 98 (to Jurong East interchange), 197 (to Lor 1
Geylang terminal before merging with service 41: Bedok - Bukit
Merah).
Service 196 did went to Boon Lay interchange when it opened in
July 1990. Service 196 was shortened to terminate at
Buona Vista terminal in June 1992 then extended to
terminate at Clementi interchange in November 1992.
