Drunk man paid insufficient fare and punched bus captain
in the face
Happened on a B9 on service 147 on Saturday at 9.30 pm, at New
Bridge Centre bus stop. Bus was heading to Clementi.
A 50 year old plus drunk man paid 50 cents, the bus captain told
him it is not sufficient, the man then told the bus captain he had
no more coins left and punched his face. He tried to run off but
was caught by 2 men.
The bus captain then locked the doors to prevent the
drunk man inside the bus from escaping while waiting for
police to arrive. He was brought back to police station to assist
in investigation.
The 40 years old plus bus captain was later send to SGH for
outpatient treatment and given 2 days medical leave.
WTH again!!? I think this is not the first time, i think in 2007
also got one simillar case to tiz (Same bus svc, same bus model
B9TL) but the incident happen at Peace Centre
bus-stop...
