take for example SBS8031J, it is a fullsize low-entry chassis
and is registered as a MAN 18.240 HOCL-NL as per MAN naming
convention for LE chassis which are xx.yyy where xx refers to the
GVM of the vehicle and yyy refers to the horsepower rating. H in
HOCL stands for rear-mounted engine.
whereas for SMB138Y, it is registered as a NL323F which follows
the MAN low-floor fullsize citybus naming convention which is
NLxxyF. all low-floor citybuses are rear engined so no need for the
rear/front engine designator. NM stands for midibus, NL stands for
fullsize and NG stands for articulated.
Yup, I know that but people kept telling me the SMRT MAN is a
NL320F with 270HP.
