Jam due to 6-vehicle accident
A DELIVERY van hit one car before swerving into a row of
vehicles yesterday evening.
The accident involving six vehicles happened at the junction of
North Canal Road and Eu Tong Sen Street.
The Opel van had been travelling along North Canal Road at about
6.15pm when the driver suddenly lost control of his vehicle and
slammed into a Honda sedan travelling in front of him.
The van then swerved into the adjacent Eu Tong Sen Street, where
it was involved in another series of collisions involving four
other vehicles.
The van first collided with a taxi, smashing into it head-on and
shattering its windscreen. The impact pushed the taxi into a Nissan
sedan, bursting its right tyre and damaging the right side of its
body.
The van also hit a
motorcycle before finally crashing into an SMRT bus, denting it and
shattering its windows.
