Whatdatoot SG

Been observing of this thread for some time and sad to say so but I think that 'Route Fantasies' is a more appropriate title than 'Route Suggestions' as most of the routes 'suggested' (or fantasied) here seems to be illogical and created just out of fun.

You may say that the reason that you 'suggested' this service is due to link here and there but it is impossible to have all direct links or else you will see many bus services with empty buses running around. For example, you may 'suggest' a service to ply between Bishan and Joo Koon, citing reasons like 'To provide the direct link for the residents in Bishan working in Jurong Industrial Area' but is the demand there? Furthermore the transfer rebate for buses/MRT is going to raise to 50 cents.

Also, I saw lots of 'suggestions' of long haul routes. For instance someone here can suggest a new route to ply between Soon Lee Bus Park to Geylang Lorong 1 via Jurong East/West, Bt Batok, Bt Timah, Bishan, Serangoon, , Eunos and Geylang Lor 1. What is the purpose of such long haul route? The only thing that I can think of such routes is only fantasy.

Another thing, some people here 'suggests' the amendment of some existance svcs, be it extend or cut short but have you think of the consequences that the pax taking these services regularly will affected somehow?

If you are really suggesting routes, it means that you might be very sure that there is such demands and needs for such routes that you suggested. I have seen many of them here having 'created' so many routes just out of fun and nothing else. For example, if you live in Pasir Ris and you seldom travel to Jurong West how do you know what kind of demands they need?

aye le si bei tu lan leh, ppl already use the word suggestion ma, can or not depends on the operators, you talk wat kok?

Lol I like the 290 one.

I propose...
Convert Feeder 292 to Townlink 292(Two directions now) to serve the residents of Tampines Ave 5, Ave 9, Ave 6 and St 71. It would also serve the new upcoming students studying in the massive UWCSEA East Campus along Tampines Ave 10.

The other side of 292 would be kept, but there would be another slot of it at Tampines Int for this new segment.

I'd like to see a 30 + 69 merger, keeping the number 30, and the fleet would be 90% controlled by SL...

Then it would be from Tampines Int to Boon Lay Int. It would keep both routes, but add two pairs of bus stops along New Upper Changi Road(include the CentralStop at Bedok MRT), and then not serve Bedok Int and the pair of bus stops at Bedok North St 1...

Don't think its feasable with the current last bus timing departarture from BNL and BDI.
