Finally SMRT is converting 858 to WAB operations. I suspect it since 2 wks ago when they deploy quite a few OC on that route. Shld had convert it to WAB since the new routes.

It will give the tourist a gd impression of our local bus coy, since SBS impremented WAB on their svcs since the intro of KUB.

Which means expect to see FULL fleet of OC (except 134H) on the road wef 29/11/10.

If 858 really want full OCs then have to wait until the citaros come in though.

Now even if kop 171 OCs to WLDEP, might not be enough unless they call back the 5 mercz rigids.

Anyway, 10 is better than none though, have to wait until the citaros come in before they throw AMDEP OCs over for 858.

better if the UDs were to be on the chopping boards though before the citaros come in, sick of seeing them

SMRT has to work with LTA to do necessary conversions of bus stops to support WAB activities.... so they can't convert any service to WAB immediately.

how to enjoy WAB facilities? Imagine you are the PIW waiting at T2 at night... you think got chance to board the OC? even if they planned alternate trips as OC, how long the PIW have to wait? Recently there are ppl who complained that the bus is already full when reach T3.

further, if really want to convert to WAB, then just transfer more OCs from AMDEP/KJDEP... why never put SMB134 on Sv858. Just transfer SMB28 from Sv855, SMB126/127 from Sv857 and a few more from RWS8... Put so many OCs on RWS 8 which is not WAB for what?

We'll get to see the truth on 291110, we might get to see some major exchange of buses between depots. Who knows, all 858 fleet might be OCs.

10 is better than nothing, If you want batch 1 OCs to come in from both KJDEP and AMDEP to perm 858, you have to wait until the next batch citaros comes in.

Agreed. Feel that services like RWS8 doesn't really need full OC500LE fleet, they can just deploy Merc 0405s and or even Lances there. Reason is SMRT want to show off their new buses to the newly opened RWS... Also SMB19H is currently not assigned to any perm services, it can just go over to WLDEP 858.
