1 time slot of say 10 mins siao siao 2 mins per bus, aft tat 10 mins.. bef 11 mins..

still meet QoS.

2 mins per bus is as good as waiting for entire Bt Panjang area to get flooded w/ excess capacity, after which not enough buses

Tis same goes to how SMRT plan MRT schedule prev.. 4 mins, then spam 1 min, 1 min, then make u wait 7 mins at 0730 am peak hrs bef 1 min, 1 min.

Then tell you sorry train cannot wait got max dwell time.

Seriously I dunno how they plan this elite schedule one.

The solution is simple, split up high capacity routes for 2 operators to operate just like in HK...
or run almost parallel svcs with different start/end terminals
or Express sector
Eg.
190 > Choa Chu Kang to New Bridge Rd
190A > Bukit Panjang to Queen St Terminal

190X > Choa Chu Kang to New Bridge Rd, skipping stops in between...

If the planners[gahmen] actually go do their homework, the problem would have been solved.

Good idea. The damn thing is our authorities failed to implement effective policies to spur our bus operators improve their service level; eg to buy double-deckers. If there are no regulations, will these profit-minded operators bother to spend more capital purchasing higher capacity buses to better serve the commuters? They will just buy cheaper buses and try to squeeze as many passengers in as possible. What for Lucky Draws here and there? Don't tell me because of the lucky draws, more people will be encouraged to dump their cars for public transport? Singapore still has a long way to go before they can reach HK buses standard.
