If this is true then i'm happy.We can expected new buses
especially Citaros coming in.Think WLDEP will be much affected
cause the rego 425-441 is majority WL.For the MUP they should done
it when the bus reach 10 years old not in 09.What is refurbish for
them when the buses already earn millions during its lifespan.17
years is way too long IMHO.15 years is better.Remember OAC Merc,WA
Scania,Hinos,DAFs,Box bendy and MKII Hispano bendy are all Euro 1
complient.To meet exhaust emission required by LTA(low smoke) they
have to regularly maintance the buses often.Injectors need to
service almost every 3 months for each buses,Can you imagine
that?
Hmm yeah.True also.I know the the many tough work needed to
service the older buses especially in tis time where the importance
is in newer buses as they can meet the requirements which the older
buses dun have.So i understand y buses lik ELBOs and UDs r being
scrapped earlier than expected..
