Days back over dwell time, tell me cannot, die die train must depart once alarm sounds off tat it's over dwell time.

seriously, sometimes door open, immediately buzzer n 2nd one sounds off, ppl can't even board. Snowball effect, next train lagi more ppl waiting.

They didn't schedule properly, suspect even w/ e slow down due to unwelded parts at JEMP, they did not make a new one in lieu of new condition.

These days one would notice 5 - 1 - 1 pattern at Boon Lay during am peak.

As for buses, think is didn't factor in traffic and indv bus stop condition.

in any case all e comments of wat last min alighting, no excuse to find no bell.. Try being e standee.

its not about insufficient bell pushes, its about inappropriate positioning of these bell pushes. if u notice the interior of the SMRT OC500LEs properly, you will realise that the vertical handgrips on the raised section do not have any bell pushes at all. assuming the passenger is standing along the aisle and the bus is packed, how is he/she going to get to the nearest bell push which is on a window pillar? wriggle her arm around a whole busload of standing passengers and try to locate the nearest window pillar?

the bell pushes on the window pillar are a convenience to seated passengers, but not for standees.

I think the bells next to the windows are only a convenience for seated passengers next to the windows only. If seated next to the aisle, I find it difficult to reach those bells too. Should follow SBST, have bells mounted on the many vertical stanchion poles next to the aisle. - its well designed with good sense and thoughts.

a normal passenger wont know whether it is batch 1 or batch 2. They wont care.. They only want to press the bells. If batch 2 can have bells on the poles, then they should install it on the batch 1.
