the long distance between bt batok ctrl and bt batok MRT station.i still dun get it? u mean walk from Bt Batok mrt station to the bus stop out side blk 628...

178 to Bukit Batok for Taman Jurong/Jurong East people.

178 might help 66, 66C and 176's loads.

188 is also another service from Jurong East to Choa Chu Kang.

Suspect the DDs will still operating on 157 during weekends.

178 and 188 not really.....

I agree with you on 180 though. Bukit Panjang commuters usually take 180 or 187... Seldom will take the MRT to get to Boon Lay.... Cos of the many transfers....
For 180, probably though living in Woodlands might squeeze up on 180 to get to Service 187 and 963 at Bukit Panjang.

Not many people board 178 at Jurong East Library.. or will think of it as an alternative to get to Bukit Batok.

As for 188, i doubt people will walk over to IMM to take 188... They rather wait for the bridging service or even 66A.

172 is most likely affected... some prefer taking the MRT (faster but 1 transfer plus no seats from Jurong East to Choa Chu Kang) ... some prefer taking the bus (can sit all the way, seat almost guaranteed). But of cos with disruption, all will squeeze up on 172.

i think the shortworking trip in the middle of parent route freq. Svc 174A same as Svc 66C and Svc 157A to check freq must be at the scene

this move might be initiated by LTA. After all bus planning is now under their control and JEMP is after all an LTA project.

I think that is only partly one factor since the shortworking trip is so far implemented only by SBS Transit. Perhaps they realise an increased number of demand due to the MRT disruption plus the fact that commuters are more willing to take these SWT due to the implementation of distance based fare system.

All of them should be QoS runs from standby buses then. In such case, you will only see them closer to evening or night time.

The real catchment at Bukit Batok starts AT NIGHT!!! See how packed 157, 187 and MRT shuttle are. But there was wrong move for SMRTB to downgrade the fleet for 187 and let 1063U and 1170T go cameo on MRT Shuttle..... Yes, SLBP 157 had 'koped' LO3x perms from 154, but what a disappointment from BRBP side, STILL deploy full SD fleets.

But afternoon got less people taking them lehx. In my opinion, they should have let some buses rest at Science Centre Road, this can help to save fuel on travelling with an empty bus.

OT: MRT Shuttle uses mixture of rigids and bendies (mostly from WLDEP and AMDEP)

thats good. people from bukit batok need to go to boon lay as well bah .. instead of off svc back to int , still can pickup pax and go back, help its parent svc ..

You should see how terrible the crowd is during night at Block 628 stop. Saw one 157 (SBS8409D) packed to the max

187 alot of rigid cameos today

from boon lay direction also crowded (normal crowd)

157 today the BR DD slot i saw alot of KUBs esp Euro V like 5092, 8778
