wad abt minibuses?

Minibuses as in? Toyota Hiace, Nissan Urvan, Mercedes Benz Vito are classified under minibuses and are given a prefix M followed by the number of seats.

Mitsubishi (Fuso) Rosa, Toyota Coaster, Mercedes Benz Sprinter, Fiat Ducato are considered midibuses (under British standards) and are given normal seating codes.

Bus and Train LoVuR SG

B-City Bus seats, non reclinable
H-High Bridge (Standard) Double Decker
L-Low Bridge Double Decker
DP-Dual Purpose seats, High Back, non reclinable
C-Coach Seats, High back, reclinable
M-Minibus (ie passenger variant of a closed-goods van)

Till now the weirdest one I have seen is POACh49C (or specifically POACh49+28C), with just 2 vehicles in the world having that.

You have answered your own question. Code B and Hs are for citybuses, a partial explanation is available by the TS. Since we don't have many fancy buses, our designations are rather simple compared to other countries.

I thought someone explained bendies upthere. POACh49C belongs to two vehicles in Singapore.

Looks complicated.Frankly speaking,i dun even understand wth TWS4793 talking.Alr got so many normal tings to learn..As if not enough,still learn tis type of unneccassary ting..Haha..

On the surface many people look at it this way, but when you dig in deeper it's actually another technical option of classifying different kinds of buses. To put it simple, just like sgbuses had explained. The same as total up seats in a bus just that in a more technical way.

Let's say for our SBST Volvo B7RLE (SBS8030L) it has 28 seats so therefore the bus seat code for it would be B28D.

For a Leyland Olympian 3-Axles it is a double-deck bus so there are 38 seats below & 55 seats above so therefore the bus seat code for our SBST LO3X is H38/55D.

B = Rigid bus

C = Coach

H = High bridge double decker

L = Low bridge double decker

then

nn = Number of seats minus driver

then

D = Front and centre doors

F = Front door only

FR = Front and rear doors

T = Tri-door (i.e. front, centre, rear)

then

w = Wheelchair accessible (note lower case)

For example: AB60Tw is an accessible articulated bus with 60 seats and three doors.
