Some KUBs are programmed to lock-up at 2nd instead of 1st, but
as expected of the "too-flexible" gearbox settings, its easy to get
these buses to lock-up at 1st instead. Easier than say...the MKIV,
which I have experienced probably only 2-3 times. Of course its the
Strider, because the DMs are simply too slow for that to
happen.
The lock-up setting reminds of the MKII.
The Mk II's I took, most of them lock-up at first gear,
producing a higher-pitch "scream" which was not that bad, but I
also prefer the 2nd gear lock-up.
The KUB's I know of which lock up on the 2nd gear come from the
828x series.
