I don't think they can extend the date too early in advance. But they should be doing so because without extending the O405s would mean a sudden loss of buses from its fleet. Its hard to say now because who knows by 2010 maybe SMRTB has bought enough buses to replace the whole fleet of UDs, ELBOs and O405s?

Meaning the bus was brought in one piece with LHD also? So they modified it to RHD here?

Or was that done at point of manufacture?

Point of Manufacture.

Citaros are built to LHD configuration for Europe market, RHD for English market. RHD Citaros are not uncommon.

We'll be waiting about a month I think, since yes, the bus needs to be modified for SG use. Citaros are fully assembled in Germany, France or Spain (IIRC, only Germany produces the RHD models), that's why you can see the non-standard round WAB and elderly friendly stickers on the bumper.

Also, I think the EDS is a Mobitec unit.

it's ok, they just have to get the specifications of the first unit right before subsequent units are delivered.

Of cuz it is better than having 900 boring same looking scanias right.I wldnt even mind if SMRT brought in 400 or 500 Citaros.At least its way better having real quality buses right?
