I don't think they can extend the date too early in advance. But they should be doing so because without extending the O405s would mean a sudden loss of bus...

As at 3 weeks ago the stats are: 2957 buses on revenue service, with 245 spare buses.

you decide for yourself if sbst is actually facing bus shortages.

with the fact of massive influx by scania Euro Vs, shortage of buses would not justify that.

Saw it too! I think it is Gemilang body and it looks nice but it's only the demostrator.

Citaros are integral products. Bodywork design is by MB.

SBS lacks drivers for now. But in e long run, buses could also be a issue too, some svs simply still can't cope during peak hrs now

Saw this bus and the SBST OC while on the bus to SEAB (Pandan Centre) to collect the D&T stuffs.. Look so niceeeee.. Can't wait...

I won't be surprise if this Citaro is handed to WLDEP, cause, OC demo went to KJDEP, Yutong demo went to AMDEP.. So it might be the citaro go to WLDEP..

We shall see..

OT: Why the SBST OC ah still haven't come out?

Took 154 yesterday and saw the bus. If you know the Citaro exterior designs well, by looking at the back of the bus, you will know its Mercs Citaro.

Bah, too bad they never used Hubcaps, only Rim Guards. The Citaro hubcaps look nice with the integral body.

Since the bus is a demo from MB, does it have the rear EDS like that like many of the European ones?

Or will/has that be/been removed for Singapore's standards?

Hmm I guess it would stay as it is? Since the yutong isn't changed to what the normal buses have on their rear EDS..

I seriously really feel like moving over to the SMRT area soon.Their buses are definitely getting more 'hotter'.I feel so jealous of those who live in the SMRT area.Haha.Can get to take very cool buses like this Citaros soon.Its really very boring living in the SBST area nw.Maybe the only thing the ppl living in the SBST area can look forward to is the Wright B9s.

Haha of cuz.Given hw much they alr have copied the Citaro design for the OCs front,they wldnt dare to copy any further.It wld be too obvious nw alr if they still want to copy cuz the Citaro itself is the original version.Haha.

Anyway good thing is that this time,there is no Gemilang involved so u can expect zero copycat work but real 100% original product here cuz the Citaro itself has arrived from Europe.

COMMENT - the OC front is the CapaCity not a Citaro.

Passed by C&C today (while on 198) and both the SBST OC and the Citaro are still unregistered and parked side by side. The Citaro's A/C looks sooo awesome from far!!

it seems that he goes by a logical manner that the SBST OC MUST come out first then the Wright B9s come out. Means if sbst still refuse to take over from C&C then we wont see Wright B9s on the roads?
