Jam at Woodlands Rd

I've noticed everything yesterday evening, it's he!! breaking loose.

1) The vehicles from BKE were given free flow of movement into Woodlands CIQ.

2) Woodlands Rd (Kranji MRT) had massive jam as the lorries were not cleared fast enough. Svs 160, 170, 178, 925, 960 & 961 are severely affected - no movement at all. BC/ SL let passengers alight as there was no movement for more than 10 mins.

3) Those buses along Woodlands Rd (Kranji Stn) i.e. 160, 170 were diverted into using Woodlands Ave 3, Woodlands Centre Rd later on.

4) CW1 was the best. The bus ended up using Turf Club Ave & BKE with passengers onboard.

5) Had to call 999 before immediate steps was taken to let the lorries move up to the old CIQ for clearance.

At least situation now is a lot better than last time, where jam stretch all the way under KJE. Only way to solve the situation now is to widen the road, and to deploy road mashalls to guide traffic.

Seriously it was aft MSK's incident tat lorry problem became terrible.

Widen the road is much more practical.

160, 170, 178 maybe should really be diverted away from Old Woodlands Rd during evening peak hrs till 9pm.

I saw some 160 & 170 were diverted to ply Woodlands Ctr Rd (road before Marsiling Stn) during peak hours. 178 should be able to deploy by there if require to skip Old Woodlands Rd.

Not just thanking MSK but also JI for causing so much inconvenience.

It was w/ MSK tat the jam stretched to KJE. It used to be pretty isolated in the past esp when new CIQ opened.

eh. OCC did not allow the diversion initially cos as far as I know in the first place it's actually not allowed.

Usually dare devils is Handal Indah CW1 straight away use Turf Club Ave & BKE.
