Last time, Woodlands feeder turns in. :) Yes. Until somewhere in early 2003, this terminus used to be a looping point for 911/912/913. Illegal parking at the...

Jalan Kayu terminal was closed down during the NEL rationalisation when services 103, 378 and 379 were integrated to become 103/103X (now 103/103M).

103W, not 103X

First to appear was Bedok Interchange, which also happens to still be in its original structure.

Geylang Lorong 1 might be the oldest surviving terminal in operation with proper bus parking facilities, though I am not 100% sure about this.

Perhaps Queen St may take the honours as the oldest, surviving bus terminal?

Before all services were being consolidated to run from Bukit Merah Interchange when it began operations back in 1981, the bus terminal for Service 16 was at Telok Blangah Street 32 where it was an open air carpark. See map link for exact location http://www.onemap.sg/?SearchVal=78A%20TELOK%20BLANGAH%20STREET%2032&LW:Y&wO5d:fJIh_Y,JYhJf_b,aYqqf_R,hbqIh_I,q . Service 273 was then implemented to serve the residents after Svc 16 was cut back from the Telok Blangah estate.

There was also a roadside bus terminal for the original Svc 92 (from old paya lebar international airport to depot road via bukit merah lane) near the bus stop outside of the current ISS international school.

Hi,

I'd like to know where was the spot of Lower Delta Terminal (65 used to end there) and how was the layout like? Thanks.

the former Jurong bus interchange. a few years after the old interchange was relocated to the old Boon Lay bus interchange, this area was used as temporary storage space for deregistered double-deckers probably destined for overseas to start a new life.

I remembered this. The place was crammed with the Atlanteans and O305, looking sad and forgotten, awaiting thier fate of either getting a new life overseas or being re-incarnated as a soda can...

That is a very valuable piece of info. Thank you!

I was wondering how come got roads surfaces meant for bus bays at tat location. Just nice to make a turn-around at former Gilman Heights before proceeding to Paya Lebar Airport.

May I know where is the actual location for this terminal?

Is it located near to the junction of Jurong Rd and Bukit Batok Road?

Its Somewhere at the junction of Bt Batok Rd, to be precise.
Former actual location was around Track 8 of Jurong Rd and after Lorong Getah.

It was also located at the vicinity of the now-demolished landmarks (due to the development of Bukit Batok New Town):
- Joo Hwa Chinese Sch
- Jalan Lama Sec Sch
- Jurong Rd 16km C.C.
- Jurong Rd Market
- Kg. Ulu Pandan
- Ong Lee Village

That's a very valuable picture you have. Missed these buses.

Is it the old SBS Jurong Bus Park as well? When was the old Jurong Bus Interchange torn down? Is it 1989 or 1990?

Anyway, I have spoke to an old lady before. She told me that the premises of the old World Trade Center terminal (now Harbourfront terminal) was an old HDB estate in the 1970s before it was demolised to build the bus terminal, hawker center and the open car park, because of the Sentosa island and former World Trade Center developments?

Any older bus fans can verify this?

Bedok Interchange was never a 1st bus interchange in Singapore, it commences on 25th Feb 1979. The interchange was than expanded with new berths erected, to accomodate existing bus services from Chai Chee Terminal.

The oldest bus inerchange was actually the former Jurong Bus Interchange which commenced operations on 1st June 1978.

As for Geylang Lor 1 Bus Terminal, it started off as a small terminus for CSS since the start of its operations on 16 May 1975, before it was expanded to include SBS buses terminating at this terminal.

In phrasing, Jurong is not e 'oldest' alrdy. Demolished riao

Thank you for the info.

I have found more former terminals from Sgwiki like Tanjong Belayer Ter and Pasir Panjang Rd Ter (near Clementi Rd). Does anyone knows about the location of Tanjong Belayer Terminal where svc 22 and 215 used to terminate?

And is the location for Pasir Panjang Rd Ter is somewhere near the Fragance Hotel?

Anyway, is former Boon Lay Gardens Bus terminal the place where the Plan B buses park?

SBS ever used it before for the special peak hour JIS svs i.e. 249A, 251A.

Later these svs were handed over under Scheme B.

It is good to have Sembawang Bus Interchange now since they are well-developed, unlike before 21th Century, vast of empty lands and trees everywhere....

For now, i'm starting with the west side first, then slowly to east and north side.

Lim Chu Kang Ter will be covered later as it was out of the way from our planning initially.

SBS ever used it before for the special peak hour JIS svs i.e. 249A, 251A.

Later these svs were handed over under Scheme B.

Only 4 JIS services (247A, 249A, 250A, 251A) with the 'A' variant were chosen to serve the Boon Lay Gardens Terminal. Handed over to Scheme B operators on 5th Oct 1987, after 9 years in operation by SBS.
