It was being said on Bus Lists On The Web that the Leyland Leopard is chassis number 7804677. A check on the internet brought me to a link that said this:

Basically it is new to SBS in September 1979 registered as SBS6791L. After that is went to Allander Coaches (in the UK) and then to Finglands Coachways. It got rebodied in May 1992 from an Alexander body to a Plaxton body. Got rereg-ed quite a number of times and was scrapped in May 2007 after being wthdrawn in September 2005

I don't believe appearances have anything to do with it. The Hispano DAFs were introduced in 1990 while the Alexander ones came much much later. The Hispano DAFs were transferred to the CSS fleet and given CSS numbers. They stayed with CSS until almost the end of their lifespan, gradually disappearing as the CSS routes got axed one by one. The last one served on CSS route 605.

Have any of u heard of the Nissan Civilian?

Yes, I've heard of it. SBS used to have them on route M1 (now 92). It was quite awkward for the driver because he had to turn around to see the passengers boarding and paying the fare. I remember there was a bus stop located at a steep incline somewhere in Mt. Sinai. Most of the time, the driver would stop before the slope (some distance to the bus stop) to let off passengers. I guess he wasn't keen to move off from the slope, perhaps fearing that the bus might roll backwards (it was a manual gear).

l have some news from indonesia but i dunno if many will know that 2 OAC U31SCNs (claimed by Indonesian bus enthusiasts) was sent there to serve the Indonesia Millitary. Do note that SBST used to have about 20 of them on service before they got axed in 2002-2003.

Last time ads on SBS buses were full body instead of only Left, Right & Rear as of now. Last full body ad was Carrier on Volvo MKII IIRC.

when i was young, i thought that SBS997A was owned by The Carrier Man Can cos it was carrying The Carrrier Man Can Ad... Back then i was interested in buses with 3 axles or more, except for the olympians...
