Well,I like quite powerful buses,ZF makes the bus sounds more powerful (Compare ZF Volgren/Habit bendies with Voith Volgren/Habit bendies).ZF bendies sounds very powerful while Voith bendies sound like no power (unless over revving)

The ZF on MB O405G sounds the best..... Voith is only capcable of giving the engine stress ;)

But then ZF give too much power,look what happened to TIB1105H,TIB1110S,Voith no known case of burning buses excpet for TIB1234T (I think),the fan belt burned

O really? LOL... I noticed that ZF gearchange on O405G was quite long..... Longer then Voith at times....

I remember the MK 3s sounded like tat back when they decelerate in the mid-late 90s. Now their gearboxes all pretty much worn out already. >.< To me, i love merc W3E the most when it retards. So pleasant to listen to.

Maybe? Allison confuses itself coz it dosen't know when to change from gear 1 to 2. That is the case in UK.

So now , have u guys rode on buses that gearboxes sounded like it hasn't even changed at all? Especially all the O405 from SBST.

Maybe? Allison confuses itself coz it dosen't know when to change from gear 1 to 2. That is the case in UK.

Thats an old series of Allison (possibly an AT-; larger buses use the VT-), with the new (ok not so new, they have been around since mid 1990s) B- and T- series, its a different type of sound. Go listen to newer American buses and you will know.
