Currently, every trip you make, the fare comes with boarding
charge and distance component. when you make a transfer, a nominal
amount (transfer rebate) is returned to you as an offset against
incurring boarding charge.
The new fare system will base your fare totally on the aggregate
distance travelled regardless of the method of travel. Hence, you
can change buses like as if you have a bus pass and not incur more
as long as you're travelling through the same route (and hence the
same distance).
All trips requiring only EWL, NSL, BPLRT, SKLRT, PGLRT and basic
bus services (trunk, feeder, Townlink and Jurong Industrial
Services) will only need to pay the standard distance-based
fare.
A premium of up to 25¢ for adult card users will be incurred on
top of the distance fare for any part of the journey that requires
NEL and CCL.
A premium of 60¢ will be payable for express/FFw services on top
of basic distance-based fare.

new fare regime.
