Some facts to share:
SBS 998Y:
- Debuted in 1996 as Asia's longest bus, a length of 19 metres,
serving service 18.
- If the trial was successful back then, then SBS, would have
considered bringing in the bi-articulated bus as well, which is now
used in Brazil.
- It serves service 290 after that.
SBS 999U:
- Debuted in 1997/1998 as the second bendy demo by SBS, serving
service 195.
- The only bendy bus in Singapore which has "curtains" covering
the articulated section (interior).
- After that it was transferred to the east to serve service 18
and then 290.
Both buses are sold to Australia in the 2000s.
Are you sure the that both buses were sold to AUS???Thought that
they were sold to NZ's Bayes coachlines
Heres a photo of SBS998Y in NZ(Still with the "No standing
on steps" sticker) and beside it is SBS999U-Any more info on
it or photo of it in the Bayes coachlines livery?
