I tried the "Hao3 cho1 dao4" (cho1=porridge) steamboat buffet at
AMK Central (at 3rd floor, above Season's dept store) which gave a
choice of chicken soup and/or tom yam soup, or rice porridge soup
(in a clay pot).
Dinner costs $13.90 net with nice soup stock and a good variety of
fresh ingredients, plus a free drink. There was also a small buffet
of cooked snacks, including chicken drumlets, chicken curry, bee
hoon, etc., fruit and potong ice cream.
Most of the seats are located outdoor in a relaxing setting and
there's also a small aircon area. Not a posh kind of place, but
recommended for the value-for-money and tasty food. It gets quite a
full house during dinner time on the weekends. Will go again soon.
